George Kakoulidis is the CEO of Apollo SA (www.apollo.gr), a healthcare IT relative company with many years of HL7 consulting and implementation experience. Apollo SA Information systems in healthcare feature implementations based on a state of art medical record (EMR) that monitors administrative and financial parameters of medical practice so that doctors can focus solely on operational decisions. Furthermore, PHR extensions of such systems have been implemented and interoperability applications among HIT heterogeneous systems have been tackled. He has been designing and participating in both national and private technological development business plans in the fields of Healthcare and Social Security for more than twenty years.
- His latest professional development features the Athena Health Tourism Cluster (www.athenahealthtourism.com), a Cooperative Network (Cluster) of Medical Tourism and constitutes the first Organized & Coordinated Extroversion Activity of significant range in the field of Health in Greece.
- He is a founding member of Open Health Alliance initiative (www.ohanet.gr), an organization that offers specialized Health Oriented Services (both for Medical Practice and relevant consultancy) to hundreds of Doctors nationwide. George holds the position of Advisor to the Board.
- He is a founding member of HHIA (Hellenic Health Informatics Association) www.espy.org.gr and holds the position of chairman.
- He is also a founding member of HL7 Hellas (www.hl7.org.gr), vice chairman for many years, general director and now is a member of the board.
